Richard E. “Rich” Cricks, 65, of Slippery Rock, passed away Saturday at his home.

He was born Feb. 9, 1953, in Natrona Heights, Pa., to the late Martin L. Cricks and the late Dorothy P. Dunbar Cricks.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was self-employed and was Presbyterian by faith.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy C. Cricks, whom he married March 17, 1990; one stepson, John K. Toomey of Slippery Rock; one sister, Linda Hackett and her husband, Earl, of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
