Mark Rauschenberger, 56, passed away on Jan. 14, 2022, at his home in Rockford, Ill.

Born July 19, 1965, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Joan (Shumaker) Rauschenberger and the late Glenn W. Rauschenberger of Butler.

He was a graduate of North Kitsap High School in Poulsbo, Wash.

Mark had a long career working in the travel industry, but he was best known for his work with DeMolay International as an executive officer. At the time of his death, he was registered as a Class 1 (active member) of the International Supreme Council (voting member) and served as director of special projects for Jurisdiction of Washington and Alaska and as resident adviser and treasurer for the Avalon Chapter of DeMolay in Rockford, Ill. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 0173 in Cherry Valley, Ill., and held several offices there.

He is survived by his newly adopted son, Sam Simington; his sister, Ann (Rauschenberger) Cheney; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

RAUSCHENBERGER — An informal gathering for Mark Rauschenberger, who died Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022, on the second floor of the Butler Masonic Temple, 346 S. Main St., Butler. He will receive Masonic services at 1:30 p.m.
