Janet L. Leslie, 70, of Butler passed away Friday after a long battle with cancer at the Visiting Nurses Association Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

Born July 6, 1939, in Clintonville, she was the daughter of Walter Heeter and Myrtle Meals Anderson.

She was a homemaker. She was of the Presbyterian faith and enjoyed reading.

Surviving are her husband, Kenneth D. Leslie, who she married on July 7, 1978; her mother who resides in Saxonburg; two daughters, Laura (Jim) Gizienski of Valencia and Linda (Frank) Steele of Butler; two step daughters, Lori Rudolph of Saxonburg and Leeann Kennedy of Butler; a stepson, Kerry (Wendy) Leslie of Butler; three sisters, Judy (Dave) Snodgrass of Butler, Terri (Mark) Rudolph of Butler, Sherri Layhew and Sam Kobik of Saxonburg; daughter-in-law Holly Moore of Butler; seven grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, Walter Heeter, and a son, Michael D. Moore.

<B>LESLIE</B> — Friends of Janet L. Leslie, who died Friday, June 4, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, Saxonburg.Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Sue Mayer officiating. Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.The family would like to thank Dr. Cynthia Evans, Dr. Ho and their staffs at the Cancer Center and the VNA Inpatient Hospice for their love and care.Memorial donations may be made to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.
