Francis Malinski
Francis Edward “Frank” Malinski, 87, of Prospect, passed away on July 13, 2022.
He was born Aug. 7, 1934, in Butler, and was the son of the late Peter Malinski and the late Anna Stadnyk Malinski.
Frank served in the U.S. Army until retirement on Aug. 7, 1994. He then went on to work as a service manager for Gil Morrow and Mikan Automotive dealership, retiring in 1999.
Frank was one of the charter members and founders of Oneida Valley Fire Company.
He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. Frank was a member of the following organizations: AARP, The Army Retired Enlisted Association, (life member) of East Butler Volunteer Fire Company, Pennsylvania Sheriffs’ Association, Butler County Law Enforcement, FOP Brady Paul Lodge 54, Butler Elks Lodge 170, Butler Moose Lodge 64, Slovak Sokol Society of Lyndora, American Legion Post 117 Butler, (life member) of VFW Joseph Black Post 249, Italian Society of Butler, 272 Butler Lodge F&AM, Valley of New Castle Consistory, Syria Shriners Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine (AAONMS), and Caravan 14 of Butler.
Frank is survived by his wife, Tracy (Fry) Malinski, whom he married on Dec. 17, 1988; one daughter, Morgan Malinski of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.

MALINSKI — Friends of Francis Edward “Frank” Malinski, who died Wednesday, July 13, 2022, will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler, with a funeral service to follow at 5 p.m., with Pastor Ben Oesterling of Mount Zion Baptist Church officiating.
Officers and members of the American Legion Post 117, American Legion Post 778 and VFW Post 249 will conduct military services at 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
