Emily Marie Hilliard
Emily Marie Hilliard, 22, of New Sewickley Township, passed away Thursday.
Born on Sept. 10, 1991, in Beaver, she was the adored daughter of David R. and Darlene (McConaughy) Hilliard of New Sewickley Township.
Emily was a 2010 graduate of Freedom High School and a senior at Westminster College. She will receive her honorary Bachelor of Arts degree in music education on May 17, 2014.
She was a proud member of the Kappa Delta sorority and actively involved with the Pennsylvania Collegiate Music Educators Association. Most recently, Emily had the pleasure of student teaching for the Rochester School District. She had a profound love for the theater, music and teaching, but above all, the love she had for her family, friends, sorority sisters and her sweetheart, Eddie, will never be forgotten. Emily's bright eyes, kind heart and infectious smile will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all.
In addition to her parents, Emily leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving brother, Thomas Hilliard of New Sewickley Township; her niece, Arianna Hilliard; her maternal grandmother, Doris McConaughy of New Brighton; her loving boyfriend who she intended to spend the rest of her life with, Eddie Plocki of Crafton; her numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and her countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Russell and Elizabeth Hilliard; her maternal grandfather, Walter McConaughy; her aunt, Mary Steiner, and her two cousins, Joni Whitmire and Daniel McConaughy.
Hilliard — The family of Emily Marie Hilliard, who passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at theBoylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the St. Peter's Reformed Church, 314-320 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with Ron Cepek officiating.
