Samuel B. Ward
Samuel B. Ward, 86, of Franklin Township died Thursday.
Born Oct. 27, 1931, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Samuel and Loretta Rau Ward.
For 16 years, Sam worked for Bon Air Gas Service as a truck driver. He also was self-employed in the appliance repair business.
He was Protestant by faith.
Survivors include three daughters, Tanya Fassinger of Butler, Betty (James) Frankenstein of Zelienople and Patricia Ward of Orlando, Fla.; his seven sons, Rob Ward, Bill Ward and Scott Ward, all of Butler, Samuel (Nancy) Ward of Cranberry Township, Russell Ward of Springfield, Mo., Harry “Skip” Ward of Iowa and Donald Ward of Gibsonia; one brother, Robert (Martha) Rau of Pittsburgh; and also by 23 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Richard Ward, who died in 2007.
WARD — There will be no public visitation for Samuel B. Ward, who died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017. A celebration of life service will be planned at a later date.Arrangements were entrusted to the Jay Bryan Funeral Home, 443 Main St., Prospect.
