On Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, Alice Marie Boyle Lehnerd, a loving wife and mother of one child and grandmother of five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren passed away at the age of 96 in Las Vegas, Nev.

Alice was born on Nov. 24, 1924, in Butler, to Dr. James Boyle M.D. and Pearl Boyle Voltz.

She graduated from Butler High School in 1943, and worked for Butler ARMCO in the business department.

On Feb. 23, 1946 she married Valentine W. Lehnerd. They raised one son, Valentine J. Lehnerd, and were married 67 wonderful years.

She lived in Tucson, Ariz., for many years, where she owned and operated a small business that supported assisted living for the elderly. The last 14 years of her life were lived in Las Vegas, Nev.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Valentine W. Lehnerd; her father, Dr. James Boyle M.D.; her mother, Pearl Boyle Voltz; two sisters, Jane Voltz and Dolores Voltz Thompson; two brothers, John Boyle and Herbert Voltz; and a half brother, Dr. James Boyle D.D.S.

She is survived by her only son, Valentine J. Lehnerd; her daughter in-law, Rebecca Lehnerd; her five grandchildren, Sarah Lehnerd, Misha (Tyler) Wasielewski-Tavarez, Valentine Lehnerd, Kyra Lehnerd and Sophia Lehnerd; two great-grandchildren, Ausha and Salem Wasielewski-Tavarez; and her brother, Hubert Voltz.

LEHNERD — A private ceremony in memory of Alice Marie Boyle Lehnerd, who died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, will be held in Las Vegas, Nev.

Arrangements were handled by Vegas Valley Cremation, Las Vegas, Nev.
