Karen Bresnahan
Karen S. Bresnahan, 56, of New Castle, formerly of Butler, passed away Friday at her home.
She was born Dec. 28, 1958, in Butler, the daughter of the late Emmett Paul Graham and Janice (Walker) Graham of Butler.
Karen loved to play cards and games with family and friends. She loved listening to music and loved her dogs, Killian and Abbey.
Karen resigned from Butler Memorial Hospital due to medical reasons.
She enjoyed her nursing career and serving her patients.
Karen was a member of the Mary Mother of Hope Catholic Church in New Castle.
Surviving are her husband, who she married Sept. 22, 1979, David Bresnahan of New Castle; her mother, Janice Mae Graham of Butler; two daughters, Erin Bresnahan and Emily Bresnahan at home; two sisters, Judy (John) Thompson of Hilliards and Mary Lou Graham of Butler; four brothers, Emmett Graham of Allison Park, Gerry Graham of Butler, Tom Graham of Butler and Dan (Lexie) Graham of North Carolina; mother and father-in-law, Mike and Sally Bresnahan of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
BRESNAHAN — Friends of Karen S. Bresnahan, who died Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler. Interment will be in Calvary.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1501 Reedsdale St., Suite 105, Pittsburgh, PA, 15233.
