Catherine D. Hasychak
Catherine Dolores (Watt) Hasychak, 82, of Butler, passed away at 10:24 a.m. Saturday at her residence.
She was born Aug. 17, 1928 in Butler, a daughter of Paul D. Watt and Margaret Hays Watt Byers, who are deceased.
Catherine retired from Sunnyview Nursing Home and previously worked at Thoma's Meat Market.
She was life member of the VFW Post #249 of Butler Ladies Auxiliary, and she was a member of the Tri State Country Music Association.
Catherine enjoyed puzzles, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She was a former member of St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Lyndora.
Catherine is survived by two sons, Steven Hasychak and Michael Hasychak, and Michael's wife Kelly; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Rose Madden and Doretha Dickey, all of Butler, and also by several nieces and nephews.
Catherine was preceded in death by two daughters, Karen Casey and June Haney.
<B>HASYCHAK</B> — Friends of Catherine Dolores (Watt) Hasychak, who died April 2, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at <B>THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, INC.</B>, 124 East North Street Butler.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home, with Father Paisius McGrath of St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Lyndora, officiating. Burial will take place in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
