Genevieve Mae Moore, 101, of Butler, passed away Friday, July 1, 2022, at her residence.

Genevieve was born Jan. 23, 1921, in Butler. She was the daughter of the late Alfred Nicholas and Mary (Marra) Spohn.

She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish at St. Mary of the Assumption R.C. Church in Herman, where she was active in all church activities.

Surviving are two sons and four daughters, Richard L. Moore, of Butler; Alfred M. Moore, of Tennessee; Margaret L. Fogle, of Tennessee; Dori A. Shook and husband Michael, of Butler; Karen K. Fitzpatrick and husband Richard, of Butler; Elaine Hope Salkeld and husband Ronald, of Butler; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Spohn, of Kansas; two sisters, Camilla C. Adams, of Mars, and Mary Lou Bollinger, of Renfrew; and four caring angels, Patty, Cathy, Becky and Stephanie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years, John L. Moore, who died Nov. 10, 2001; a son, John A. Moore, and his wife Audrey; a daughter, Mary E. Weichey; a daughter-in-law, Judy Moore; and four brothers.

MOORE — A Mass of Christian burial for Genevieve Mae Moore, who died Friday, July 1, 2022, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St Francis of Assisi Parish at St Mary of the Assumption R.C. Church, 821 Herman Road, Butler.

Burial will follow Mass at St. Mary The Assumption Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
