Highmark Foundation today awarded two grants to two Butler County health care organizations.

The first $50,000 grant is a continuation of funding the foundation gave to the Community Health Clinic of Butler County two years ago.

Cecelia Foster, the clinic’s executive director, said the money will be used for the diabetic education program, which helps pre-diabetic and diabetic patients with medications, diet and exercise.

The foundation also awarded a $100,000 grant to Butler Memorial Hospital for its Maternal Services Program.
