Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a community-based skilled nursing center with a 20-bed short-term rehabilitation unit and a 36-bed secure dementia unit.

Being one of the largest centers in the area at a capacity of 220 residents, the center is proud of its award-winning care and commitment to the Butler area and surrounding counties.

The short-term rehabilitation unit is a temporary home to many residents who have had joint replacements, strokes, heart concerns and other debilitating life changes. Sunnyview’s goal for the resident who needs physical, occupational, as well as speech therapy in some cases, is to enable them to return to their home environment to function independently. Sunnyview serves the community as a home for those who cannot function independently as well; the center is proud to provide a long-term need if that is required. Our Secure Dementia Unit is a safe long-term environment for those residents with memory concerns. Families can feel at ease knowing their loved one has a higher quality of life with engaging activities and a staff knowledgeable of the dementia disease process.

The Sunnyview Team is always looking at new innovative ways to serve, with strong protocols for the disease processes, wound care and continuing education for staff. Sunnyview continuously offers Certified Nursing Assistant classes for those that want to begin a career in the medical field and partner with our local vocational technical schools for hands on training.

As Sunnyview continues its renovations, the center is looking forward to an open house for the community to see the new, refreshing Sunnyview and to celebrate the 120th Year Anniversary in the year 2020.
