Jean E. Belles

Jean E. (Kaufman) Belles, 86, of Adrian, Pa., passed away Saturday in her home.

She was born Sept. 18, 1928, in Sherrett, Pa., to the late Leroy and Jane (Harmon) Kaufman.

Jean previously was employed at the G.C. Murphy Co. and at Big River Manufacturing, both in Kittanning.

She was a member of the St. Marks Lutheran Church in Adrian. She belonged to a card club and the Sherrett Methodist Quilting Club. Along with quilting, she enjoyed bingo, cooking and baking, but most of all her favorite enjoyment was spending time with her family.

Left behind to cherish her memory are son Gary and his wife, Eileen, Belles of Kittanning; daughter, Linda and her husband, Charles, Gibbs of Grove City; son, Randy and his wife, Patricia, Belles of Chicora; and son, Duane Belles of Adrian; her 14 grandchildren, Kevin Belles, Amy Shay, Janie Heishman, Bobby Belles, Duane Belles Jr., Ronda Craig, Lisa Logue, Rick Belles, Greg Belles, Kristie Taylor, Brandl Radaker, Shawna Bowser, Jimmy Belles and Ronny Belles; 22 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Carol and her husband, Walton, Bowes of Zollo Springs, Fla.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Belles on July 4, 2005; two daughters, Brenda Belles and a daughter who died in infancy; grandson, Larry Belles; three sisters, Vera Jack, Betty Southworth and Helen Wolfe; and two brothers, Arthur “Jeff' Kaufman and Walter Kaufman.

BELLES — Family and friends of Jean E. (Kaufman) Belles, who died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home, Cowansville.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Marks Lutheran Church, Adrian, with an additional hour or viewing before service.The Rev.
