Joseph R. Radaker

Joseph R. Radaker of Pinellas Park, Fla., died on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018.

He was born on Sept. 18, 1941, to Helen and William Radaker.

He grew up in Western Pennsylvania on a farm along with 13 siblings.

He graduated high school and joined the U.S. Army, where as a cook in the service he discovered a passion that would last him a lifetime.

For the greater part of his life, Joe lived in Butler and worked as a butcher, but he made his mark on the world as a family man. He taught his children hard work, humility and how to lead a simple, good and fulfilling life.

He loved tackling handyman jobs, grilling out, playing with his kids, traveling and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He moved to Florida in 2003, where he planted new roots and developed deep friendships. He volunteered tirelessly for his community, the Mainlands, serving on the board, organizing events and cooking many a meal for the clubhouse. He also served at Hospice of Pinellas.

On his own time, Joe traveled, enjoyed Men's Club and spent time on the golf course, both playing and working.

Joe was a servant leader, gentle man and amazing human being. He lived his life for others and we are eternally grateful for his presence in our lives.

Joe is survived by his beloved partner, Clara Kazor; her two sons, Gregg and Gary and grandchildren; and his three children, John Radaker; Angela Smith and her husband, Shawn, and Jordan Radaker and his wife, Emily.

He also leaves his 13 siblings; and six beautiful grandchildren, Payton, Lincoln, Colson, Oscar, Scarlett and Ivy.
