Pittsburgh-area man, 83, found in Cleveland, Ohio
TURTLE CREEK — An 83-year-old Pittsburgh-area man with dementia has been found in Ohio nearly two days after he wandered away while taking out the trash.
According to Turtle Creek police, officials with St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland identified Ernest Harris and contacted his family today.
Police say it’s not clear how Harris made the roughly 120-mile trip, though hospital officials say there is a Greyhound bus station nearby.
Police don’t believe Harris went to the hospital for any medical issue.
The hospital was working with Harris’ family on arrangements to get him home.
