Zelienople gas station sells winning lottery ticket
ZELIENOPLE — A lucky lottery player will split a $125,000 prize after hitting all five numbers in the Cash 5 game over the weekend.
Tony Dilulio, who owns and operates Dilulio’s Exxon on Main Street in Zelienople, said he’s thrilled his store sold a winning ticket.
Unfortunately for the winner, another person in Philadelphia hit the same numbers. As a result the winners will get $62,500 a piece.
That scenario is also unfortunate for Dilulio, who would have received a $500 bonus check for selling the winning ticket. However, lottery rules state that the winning prize must be more than $100,000 for business owners to qualify for the bonus.
That fact doesn’t phase Dilulio. He said he knows the person who won the prize, adding that the man comes in and places the lottery on a daily basis.
