Florence M. Brandt Lambert
Florence M. Brandt Lambert, 86, of Mars died Tuesday morning at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.
Born in Mars on Aug. 20, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Loretta Osche Brandt Sr.
A homemaker, Florence was a member of the St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church in Mars, where she was active with the Christian Mothers. She participated in the Mars Senior Center at Penn-Mar Plaza and had been a longtime volunteer at the St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.
She enjoyed bowling and was an avid card player in several card clubs.
Surviving are a daughter, Diane Ciafre, and her husband, John, of Renfrew; and three sons, Robert Lambert and his wife, Diana, of Mars, William Lambert and his wife, Diane, of Mars and Doug Lambert and his wife, Grace, of Valencia. She was the grandmother of Laurie, Butch, Amy, Michael, Ethan, Dylan, Maggie and Skip Lambert and Nick Ciafre; great-grandmother of Brandon, Madison, Chase, Cameron, Jonmichael and Taylor; and great-great-grandmother of Myleigh.
Also surviving are a sister, Myrtle Wolfe, and her husband, William, in Florida; two brothers, Raymond Brandt, and his wife, Kay, of Mars and Edward J. Brandt of Forward Township; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Leroy “Roy” Lambert, who she married on June 25, 1947, and who died on Dec. 27, 1997; a brother, Chuck Brandt; and two sisters, Catherine Harris and Mary Kiley.
LAMBERT — Friends of Florence M. Brandt Lambert, who died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian burial will be in the St. Kilian Church, corner of Clark and Cherry Streets, Mars, at 10 a.m. Friday with Father Charles Bober, pastor, officiating.
