SLIPPERY ROCK — As the search for Slippery Rock University’s next president continues, school officials are reaching out to the SRU community for their thoughts on the matter.

The university’s council of trustees will host a presidential search town hall meeting at 3:30 p.m. April 13, in room 11 of the Spotts World Culture Building. The school is inviting students, faculty and staff members to attend the event.

Participants will have the chance to ask questions and provide feedback about the search, as well as discuss the skills and attributes they feel the university’s next president should posses.

The town hall is the latest development in the school’s search for a new top administrator, after current SRU President Cheryl Norton announced her retirement effective July 21. Norton was appointed in 2012 as SRU’s 16th president. She is the first woman to hold that position at SRU.
