Center Township resident charged with DUI on ATV
CENTER TWP — A township man faces a hearing this month on charges he was drunk while taking a late-night ride on Route 8 aboard an all-terrain vehicle.
State police said a trooper was on patrol duty about 12:15 a.m. April 22 when he spotted a blue Polaris ATV traveling in the southbound lane on Route 8. The vehicle had no rear lights and no registration plate.
The trooper stopped the driver, 32-year-old Matthew A. Hudak, after he turned onto North Benbrook Road. He stumbled backward while getting off the ATV, police said
“He related he had just gone up the road for a ride and was taking another lap,” according to Trooper Richard Giustini’s affidavit.
