Twp official pleads to disorderly conduct charge
EVANS CITY — The vice chairman of Middlesex Township supervisors pleaded guilty Tuesday morning to a charge of disorderly conduct stemming from an incident in November.
Marshall, 45, had a misdemeanor charge of obstructing emergency services dismissed after pleading guilty to the disorderly conduct charge in front of District Judge Wayne Seibel.
He must pay a $50 fine, according to court personnel.
The charge stems from an incident last month were Marshall refused to get out of the way of emergency services personnel who were tending to his 17-year-old son who had just been in a single-car accident on Route 228.
According to police, Marshall wouldn’t relinquish control of the accident scene even while rescuers were trying to pull the younger Marshall from the vehicle.
Marshall’s son was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh by ambulance for evaluation.
The supervisor couldn’t be reached for comment at his business, J.W. Marshall Salvage on Browns Hill Road in Valencia.
He was elected in 2009 and assumed his seat in January 2010.
