Daniel L. Manning, 55, of Butler, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, June 27, 2022.

Born Oct. 24, 1966, in Butler, he was the son of the late John R. Manning and Pauline M. Swory Manning.

Dan was employed in the construction industry as a framer and more recently as a site superintendent for Gaven Industries.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of and served on the board of the Butler County Bowling Association. A mentor of young people, Dan coached Zelienople and Butler Youth Baseball and Butler bowling leagues.

He will be remembered as a man who deeply loved his family. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.

Dan leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 37 years, Denise A. Bogan Manning, whom he married on Jan. 4, 1985; his children, Regis “RJ” (Stevie) Manning of Butler, James (Madison) Manning of Butler, Kimberly (Lance) Becker of Spotsylvania County, Va., and Leigh Anne (Thaddeus) Fry of Butler; his eight grandchildren; several siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Nagy and Mike McCommon; and one sister, Tammy Smith.

MANNING — Friends of Daniel L. Manning, who died Monday, June 27, 2022, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER OF CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.

A celebration of life service will be held for Dan at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Reid Moon officiating.

Daniel will be laid to rest at Butler County Memorial Park.

Those who wish to honor Dan’s life in a tangible way may donate blood to the America Red Cross or to a local blood bank.
