James S. Hammond
James S. Hammond, 71, of Mars passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning at his home of natural causes.
Born Dec. 4, 1946, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late David and Jean Snyder Hammond.
Jim was a field technician for Siemens Energy in Murrysville.
He had served as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and belonged to the Mars VFW Post 7505.
Jim was a member of the Mars United Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Sentner Hammond, whom he married May 23, 1983; his son, Corey (Pattie) Bishop of Mars; his daughters, Amy (Robert) Bowers of Mars, Andrea Haines of Mars, Ashley (Kyle) Kelvington of Appleton, Wis., and Alexis (Ryan) Fraser of Mars; his seven grandchildren, Liza, Lindsey, Laci, Cayden, Addyson, Taylor and Haylee; his brother, David Hammond of Tuscon, Ariz.; and two sisters, Jane Adams of Henderson, Nev., and Judy Keener of Fort Myers, Fla.
HAMMOND — The family of James S.
