Rev. Dr. Paul L. Holland
The Rev. Dr. Paul L. Holland of Beaver passed away peacefully Sept. 7 at age 87.
Growing up in Swissvale, Pittsburgh, then Penn Township, Butler County, Paul was a Geneva College graduate earning master theological degrees from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, Calif., Dubuque Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa, and a doctoral degree from the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He also added both a master's degree and doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Illinois in Champaign, Ill.
Paul served double charge Presbyterian churches at Canton and Richland Prairie, then Slayton and Iona in Minnesota, moving to Homer and Fairmont in Illinois, served as chairman of the Geneva College psychology department for 30 years, retiring to the Calvary Presbyterian Church, Beaver Falls.
Remaining family are his wife of 62 years, Marlene Hofmann Holland; three daughters, Faith Holland, Joy Holland and Glory (Ronald) Dunleavy; four grandchildren, Gwendolyn Musser, Katherine (Tyler) Marwood, Paul Dunleavy and Benjamin Dunleavy; and one great-grandson, Preston Musser.

Holland, who died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday with a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, both at the Calvary Presbyterian Church, 1099 Sixth Ave., Beaver Falls.Due to family allergies, no live flowers can be accepted.
