Barbara J. Trautmann, 75, of Renfrew, Forward Township, died Wednesday at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in Portland, Ore., on Aug. 21, 1936, she was the daughter of the late John Merrill and Ethel Crane Bittner.

Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Her adventurous spirit will live on.

Surviving are her husband, Hugh M. Trautmann, who she married on Aug. 29, 1959; two sons, Timothy Trautmann and Peter Trautmann (Steve Shipp) of Columbus, Ohio; three daughters, Susan Crist (Peter) of Saxonburg, Anne Trautmann of Taos, N.M., and Merrill Jacques (Kevin) of Rocky River, Ohio; one sister, Merrill Bittner (Nancy Noppa) of Newry, Maine; one brother, John Bittner (Lynn) of Homer, Alaska; and six grandchildren.
