Janet Clowes, 88, of Cabot, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born Nov. 20, 1933, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Paul H. Doerr and Florence C. Doerr.

Janet was a graduate of West Penn School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for various hospitals.

Janet was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot.

Surviving is her loving husband, Reuben W. Clowes, whom she married Sept. 24, 1954; her sons, Kevin Clowes of Round Rock, Texas, and Scott Clowes of Charlotte, N.C.; six grandchildren, Melissa Gladkowski of Hagerstown, Md., Jennifer Rodriguez of Pfuegerville, Texas, Christoper Clowes of Round Rock, Texas, Joshua Clowes of Raleigh, N.C., Ashley Lowery of Raleigh, N.C., and Tyler Clowes of Charlotte, N.C.; eight great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Donna Sasse of Cabot, Sheldine Doerr of Cabot, Maryann Floyd of Costa Rica, Linda Wassun of Cabot, Burdette Doerr of Sarver, and David D. Doerr of Saxonburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tamera Clowes-Gladkowski, who passed away in 2011; and her brother, Ronald Doerr.

CLOWES — Friends of Janet Clowes, who died Friday, June 24, 2022, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 330 Hannahstown Road, Cabot, with the Rev. Jared Townley officiating.

Private interment will follow at St. Luke Cemetery, Cabot.
