Jane M. Ritzert
Jane M. Ritzert, 86, of Lakeside Drive, Worthington, formerly of Chicora, died Wednesday morning at Sugar Creek Rest in Worthington following a brief illness.
Mrs. Ritzert was born on June 12, 1925, on Gameland Road in Donegal Township. She was the daughter of John S. and Mildred Schultz Miller.
Jane was a 1944 graduate of Andrews School for Girls in Willowby, Ohio. She was a long time member of the St. John's Reformed Church in Chicora.
She was an excellent seamstress and was well known for her sewing skills and dress making. Jane was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Chicora and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She volunteered as a 4-H leader for a number of years.
She was employed at Troutman's Department Store; Armco Steel, now AK Steel; Sugar Creek Rest; and the Chicora Medical Center. She also assisted her late husband in the operation of their business, the Frederick Lumber Co., in Chicora for many years.
She was married in Chicora on May 9, 1946, to Charles V. Ritzert. He preceded her in death on May 20, 1987.
She is survived by three children, Enid Wilson and her husband, Bill, of Butler, C. John Ritzert and his wife, Connie, of Mars and Marilyn Jo Bowser and her husband, Daniel, of Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother, Stephen F. Miller and his wife, Cindy, of Kane, McKean County; a sister, Judith Bynum and her husband, Alton, of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Ruth Wilson and her husband, Ara Gallo, Rachel Wilson, Nathanael Wilson, Chalmer Ritzert and his wife, Shannon, Marcus Ritzert, JoLee Range and her husband, Townsend, and Elizabeth Pilkay and her husband, Todd; seven great-grandchildren, Bekka, Andrea, Ben, Gavin, Jalen, Parker and Kellen; four step-grandchildren, Max and Garret Bowser, Mitchell Bowser and his wife, Laura, and Karen Glover; two step-great-grandchildren, Katie and Jordan; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ritzert, who died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, will be received at the <B>Hile Funeral Home of Chicora</B>, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Pistorious, pastor of the St. John’s Reformed Church, Chicora, and the Rev. Kenneth Tack, co-officiating.
