Leona Ruth “Lony” Wagner

Leona Ruth “Lony” Wagner, 86, of Butler passed away Monday at her home.

She was born Jan. 21, 1930, in Butler to the late James B. Stevenson and Ovando B. (McCamey) Stevenson.

Mrs. Wagner was a graduate of Butler High School and a homemaker. She was a Free Methodist and enjoyed playing bingo.

Leona is survived by five sons, Jack Wagner, David Wagner and his wife, Carla, Vernon Wagner, Bill Wagner and Corey Wagner, all of Butler; one daughter, Robyn Collins and her husband, Brian, of Butler; 13 grandchildren, Heather (Matt) Cranmer, Josh Collins, Kristopher Collins, Adam Collins, Michael (Cindy) Maire, Linda (Mike) Kennedy, Jennifer Wagner, David (Becky) Wagner, Chrissy (Cody) Robitaille, Autumn (Charlie) Rodgers, Scott Greenawalt, Noah Doctor and David James Wagner; 14 great-grandchildren, Jacob, James and Caroline Cranmer, Jordyn Collins, Samantha and Jalynn Wagner, Tyler and Kasey Kennedy, Aaron and Ryan Maire, Charlie and Dylan Rodgers, Jazmyn Harris and Logan Cosme; one brother, Vernon (Jane) Stevenson of Rochester, N.Y.; one sister, Dorothy Bell of Rochester, N.Y.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard B. Wagner Sr., who she married April 22, 1957, and who passed away Aug. 4, 2007; her son, Richard B. Wagner Jr.; her daughter, Camey I. Doctor; her granddaughter, Sharon Wagner; her great-grandson, Isaac (Mackey) Cranmer; three brothers, Robert, William and Richard Stevenson; and two sisters, Lois Przybyla and Jean Ver Weir.

WAGNER — Friends of Leona Ruth “Lony” Wagner, who died Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Virginia DiTullio, lay pastor and friend of the family, officiating.
