The Associated Artists of Butler County presents “The Art of Sound” in The Underground Gallery at The Art Center, 344 S. Main St. The exhibit showcases art inspired by sound or music, featuring local artists Kayla Aymar and Allison Zehmisch, among others, through Friday. Five rock bands will be playing Friday; doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is $7. The bands will include Listener, Bare Branches (formerly Hand Drawn Mountains), A Rose By Any Other Name, Pasamala featuring members of Yellow Lady Slipper, and Homeless Gospel Choir. The deadline for entries for the “Patriot Show” has been extended through Saturday, and entries for “Man and Machine” are due Aug. 6. Bottlebrush Gallery, 539 Main St., Harmony, will host a 3rd Friday Event for “Taking Notice,” collage works by Stacey Hogue of Grove City, from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. Harmony in the House: Live Music is planned for 7 p.m. today, featuring Phil Lee from Nashville with guests Tom Mason and Jeff Wiley. Tickets for the concert are $10. “Works in Wood” showcasing art by Robert Bishop, David Pearson, Bill Sonntag and John Banks continues through June 26. Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and by appointment only Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. Silver Eye Center for Photography, 1015 E. Carson St., hosts “Keystone.1, The First Pennsylvania Photography Biennial” featuring 16 statewide artists who work in contemporary photography.
