Gary R. McConnell, 76, of Cranesville, Pa., passed away the afternoon of June 23, 2022, at St. Mary’s Home in Erie.

Gary was born on April 26, 1946, in Butler, and was the son of the late Albert Lewis McConnell and Dorothy Anna (Grossman) McConnell.

Gary was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church.

He loved golfing and fishing, and also loved working at the company he helped start, Plastikos in Erie.

Gary is survived by his wife, Geraldine Mae (Christie) McConnell of Cranesville; two sons, Gary William (Tammy) McConnell and Michael L. (Becky) McConnell, both of Erie; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Pamela (Donald) Deal; two brothers, David A. (Norma) McConnell and Raymond L. McConnell, all of Hooker; and several nieces and nephews.

MCCONNELL — Family and friends of Gary R. McConnell, who died Thursday, June 23, 2022, are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2022, at WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bob Edmundson officiating.

Burial will be held in Concord Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cranesville Volunteer Fire Department, 9920 N. Meadville St., Cranesville, PA 16410.
