Cooper 65th anniversary

Ruth and Clifford Cooper

Clifford and Ruth Cooper of Butler celebrated 65 years of marriage with a family dinner at Alameda Park, Butler Township.

Cooper married the former Ruth Leonard on June 22, 1957, at the First Church of God, New Castle.

They have three children, Linda (Allen) Allwine of Butler, Sharon Bartmas of Butler and the late Shirley Bruner.

They also have eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Cooper retired from the financial department of Pullman Standard.

He has served on the board of elders at the North Main Street Church of God for 31 years where he also teaches Sunday school.

He bowls with the Connoquenessing Indians bowling league.

Mrs. Cooper retired as an ICU nurse at Butler Memorial Hospital and the VA Hospital.

She is chaplain of the Red Hat Society Red Bonnets and Bifocals and a past member of the Butler Hospital Nurses Alumni Association.

She is an active member of the North Main Street Church of God.
