Robert S. Ullstrom
Robert S. Ullstrom, 72, of Conneaut Lake died Tuesday at Rolling Fields Nursing Home, Conneautville.
He was born in Sewickley, Dec. 14, 1939. He was a son of Leslie V. Ullstrom and Elsie P. Stewart Cupples and his stepfather, Alexander Cupples.
He married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Braden, Dec. 14, 1957, and she survives.
He was a 1957 graduate of Conneautville High School, attended Edinboro University and served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1961. He worked on the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad starting as a fireman and rising to director of trains at his retirement in 1989 after 25 years of service.
He was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Greenville, the Pine Masonic Lodge 498 of Linesville, the Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Erie, Zem Zem Shrine Temple, Erie, the International Association Legions of Honor and the Mercer County Shrine Club of which he was also a past president. He served on the board of the ARC of Mercer County and the Sharon Hospital Behavioral Health Center. He was an avid golfer and especially enjoyed playing with his son. He cherished time with his family and friends.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Nancy, of 54 years, include a daughter, Robin Williams and her husband, Douglas, of Linesville; a son, Robert S. Ullstrom II of Carnegie; six grandchildren, Alexandra Williams, Douglas Williams Jr., Taylor Williams, Lauryn Ullstrom, Leslie Ullstrom and Lyndzy Ullstrom; and a great-grandson, Keean Williams.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother and stepfather.

Ullstrom, who died Tuesday, April 3, 2012, will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Waid-Coleman Funeral Home</B>, 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake, with a Masonic Service by Pine Lodge 498 at 7 p.m.The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Lee Penvose, pastor of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Military honors will follow by Huidekoper VFW Post 2006.Inurnment will be in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church columbarium, Greenville.The family suggests memorials be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th St., Erie, PA 16505.Memories and condolences may be shared at waidfuneralhome.net.
