Rosemary Stutz
Rosemary A. Stutz of Butler passed away at Butler Memorial Hospital, Wednesday afternoon, April 21, 2021, while surrounded by those that loved and treasured her in life. She was born Aug. 24, 1960, in Butler.
Rosemary was an ever-caring person to all who were important to her in life. Anyone that was touched by her kindness had a lasting memory of her gentle, genuine goodness. She instilled strong moral values that were modeled by example in her daily living.
Rosemary led a memorable life. She loved to travel to unique places, quilt, bowl and share many of her remarkable talents too many to mention.
Rosemary served in the United States Army Reserve, earning the rank of sergeant until retiring from service in 1999.She graduated from Slippery Rock University with a bachelor of science in elementary/special education and earned her M.Ed., from Gannon University in curriculum and instruction.She was a dedicated kindergarten teacher in the Slippery Rock Area School District, Moraine Elementary. Rosemary put her life into her classroom making sure her children received the best learning experiences to help them become lifelong learners.Rosemary is survived by her son, George Stutz Jr., Butler; her mother, Joan Mariacher, Butler; brother, Benjaman R. Mariacher, Seguin, Texas; aunt, Sally Phillips, Los Angeles, Calif.; uncle, Richard (Judy) Taylor, Fountain Valley, Calif., and four cousins and their children.Preceding her in death was her husband, George Stutz Sr.; her father, Robert H. Mariacher; her uncle, Howard P. Phillips; her uncle and aunt, Hughie (Betty) Morrison; and her grandmothers, Sophia Taylor and Martha Mariacher.Stutz — Graveside interment for Rosemary A. Stutz, who died Wednesday, April 21, 2021, will take place at noon Tuesday at Greenlawn Cemetery, 731 W. Old Route 422, Butler, with full military honors.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Moraine Elementary School Library, Prospect, PA, or a charity of personal choice.Arrangements are under the direction of the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E.
