More snow is in the forecast
An updated weather forecast says Butler County could get up to a half of a foot of snow as a storm works its way here.
While there might be some flurries today, the real accumulation won't begin until tonight, according to The National Weather Service. Overnight the area should get 1 to 3 inches of snow. That will be followed Friday by an additional 1 to 3 inches.
Winds also could be a factor. The gusts on Friday might exceed 30 mph, forecasters say.
While counties east and south of Butler have winter weather advisories or warnings, the National Weather Service hasn't issued any of those cautions for Butler County.
