Mager

Betty (Kidd) Mager, 87, of Connoquenessing, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022, at her residence.

She was born Jan. 21, 1935, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late George and Flora (Anthony) Kidd.

Mrs. Mager was a graduate of Connoquenessing High School.

She was owner of Conno-Q Dog Grooming for over 20 years. Betty, along with her husband, raised and showed AKC Samoyed. She enjoyed camping, bowling, traveling and showing dogs.

Betty was a member of the Connoquenessing United Methodist Church and was a very active member.

Surviving are two sons, Daniel Mager and his wife, Cheryl, of Sanford, N.C., and Ronald Mager and his wife, Rita, of Butler; two daughters, Barbara Miller and her husband, William, of Butler, and Donna Karch and her husband, Kenneth, of Butler; seven grandchildren, Stacy Yoho, Heather Howard, Jason Dobson and his wife, Kim, Michael Altemus, Stephen Mager, Chelsea Mager and Jamie Mager; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Elmira Zirnsak of Connoquenessing; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Paul Mager, whom she married on Sept. 15, 1952, and who died on July 15, 2014; and a daughter, Bonnie Mager.

MAGER — Family and friends of Betty (Kidd) Mager, who died Thursday, June 23, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Bonnie Rupp officiating.

Burial will be in North Side Cemetery, Butler.
