Butler Y swimmers get 7th nationally
GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Butler YMCA girls swim team placed seventh overall at the YMCA National Swimming Championships last week.
Team members Camryn Forbes, Abby Jones, Mallory Marzolf, Taylor Petrak and Brooke Zukowski placed in all five relays. They finished as high as fifth in the 200 and 400-yard medley relays.
Forbes, Zukowski, Marzolf and Petrak swam the 200 medley relay in 1:44.15 and the 400 medley relay in 3:48.46. That quartet placed 13th in the 200 and 400 free relays.
Forbes, Marzolf, Abigail Jones and Petrak placed 16th in the 800 free relay.
Forbes placed in all four of her individual events. She was third in the 100 freestyle with a time of 50.15 seconds, seventh in the 200 backstroke with a 2:00.56.
Forbes placed 11th in the 100 back and 15th in the 200 individual medley.
Petrak placed seventh in the 50 freestyle with a 23.36 and seventh in the 100 free with a 50.83.
Zukowski placed 15th in the 100 breaststroke and 16th in the 200 breast.
On the boys side, John Wilson placed 26th in the 100 breaststroke.
