Paul E. Bowser

Paul E. Bowser, 88, of Kittanning passed away Monday at ACMH Hospital.

He was born June 25, 1928, on his family's farm in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, the son of Clarence and Margaret Bouch Bowser.

Paul lived in Kittanning all his life and graduated from Kittanning High School in 1947. He was formerly employed as an inspector at Eljer Manufacturing and as a carpenter's assistant, and he loved working on his family's farm.

Paul was a dedicated member of the Center Hill Church of the Brethren and sang in the choir for 60 years. Hunting was one of his favorite pastimes, and he served as a marksman for the Buffalo Valley Rifle Club, where he won numerous trophies. Paul loved spending time with his family and had a special place in his heart for his nieces, whom he thought of as daughters.

His memory will be cherished by his brother, Jay Bowser of Kittanning, and his nieces, Joetta Gibson and her husband, Clyde, of North Huntingdon, Mary Lou Rusbarsky of Castle Shannon and Elaine Mazza and her husband, Ronald, of Ross Township.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Arnold and Ernest Bowser; his sister, Esther O. Bowser; his sisters-in-law, Ruth Bowser and Helen Bowser; and his infant niece, Melissa Bowser.

BOWSER — Family and friends of Paul E. Bowser, who died Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning.Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday at the Center Hill Church of the Brethren, 2039 Freeport Road, Kittanning, with the Rev.
