Summer in full swing with plenty to do in Butler County

Summer is in full swing here in Butler County.

The sun is shining, gardens are growing and festival season is well underway in the county.

Already the Seven Fields Festival has come and gone. The return of Harmony’s Wine Walk came and went in a flash. And the annual Mars Brew Fest too has already passed.

We blinked and suddenly its mid-June. Though temperatures had us feeling like summer arrived sooner, it is indeed summer, according to the calendar now, too.

The Saxonburg Carnival and the Big Butler Fair are right around the corner. And a number of other fun summer events are yet to happen this summer.

It’s an exciting time to be in Butler County.

Especially after the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are so excited to see the these types of events, festivals and gatherings in full swing. The fact that many of these events are outside helps ease the concern of the spread of COVID-19.

It is officially summer, and feels like summer in Butler County. The warm weather and the events make for fun times and memories with family and friends.

Though gas prices may make it difficult to travel, there’s no need to let it put a damper on your summer. Butler County has plenty of affordable or free summer things to do.

There’s parks to explore and pools to visit. Some of the festivals and summer activities in Butler County offer free admission, such as the Saxonburg Carnival, which starts next week.

There’s plenty to do and see within Butler County. So support local businesses, enjoy local festivals and make the most of this summer.
