Melvin D. Bachman, 84, of Butler passed away Saturday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born Aug. 27, 1931, in Butler, the son of the late Oscar H. and Rhoda M. (Risch) Bachman.

Melvin had worked at the Worthington Hardware.

He was a Korean War Navy veteran.

Surviving are his son, Matthew Bachman of Minneapolis, Minn.; his stepdaughter and her husband, Carol and Joseph Grippo of Butler; his stepson and his wife, Larry and Kim Lehere of Texas; and his grandson, Joshua Grippo of Butler.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Helen F. (Lehnerd) Bachman, who died March 19, 2015.

BACHMAN — Private burial for Melvin D.
