CONNOQUENESSING TWP — A 48-year-old Ohio man was flown by helicopter to West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh after suffering electrical burns at the Butler Farm Show Grounds Friday afternoon.

Tracy Parker, a food vendor preparing for the 65th annual Butler Farm Show, was hanging a flag on top of his food stand when the flagpole contacted an electric line, said Jim Lokhaiser, the director of marketing and promotions for the farm show.

Parker suffered severe burns to his hands as a result of the accident, but was alert when rescue units arrived at the scene, Lokhaiser said.

The Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Company and Butler Ambulance Service responded to the accident.
