Eckert

Barbara L. Eckert, 81, of Butler, formerly of Middlesex Township, Valencia, passed away Saturday morning, June 18, 2022, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born in McKeesport, on Nov. 12, 1940, she was the daughter of the late John and Louise Goss Sheaffer.

A homemaker, Barb was a member of Glade Run United Presbyterian Church in Cooperstown.

Since August 2021, Barb had resided at New Haven Court in Butler and loved her new home and the people there.

Surviving are her sons, Dirk C. Eckert and his wife, Pam, of West Sunbury and Eric W. Eckert and his wife, Jenny, of Sarver; her grandchildren, Wayne and Alyshia; and her brother, Craig Sheaffer, and his wife, Sherry, of Frewsburg, N.Y.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne C. Eckert, whom she married on Aug. 20, 1960, and who died on Oct. 6, 2020; and by her brother, Jack Sheaffer.

ECKERT — Friends of Barbara L. Eckert, who died Saturday, June 18, 2022, will be received from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, with a service beginning at noon at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Glade Run Cemetery, Middlesex Township.

Memorials may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew.
