Joyce Beichner

Beichner

Joyce Ann Beichner, 80, of Butler, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022, at St. John’s Specialty Care Center in Mars after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Joyce was a New Year’s Eve baby in 1941, born to Jessie and Waldron Curley in Butler. After graduating high school, Joyce began a career as a data processor at Armco Steel. Shortly after, she was married to Robert Sacco and soon they had two children, Sharon Sacco-Gregory and Jonathan Sacco.

Joyce dedicated her life to being the most generous, caring and wonderful mother to Sharon and Jonathan. Her entire purpose was devoted to caring for them, and she made it her mission to give them the best lives possible. Their happiness was top priority over everything else, as they were the center of her world. Whether it was getting Sharon to gymnastic practice, Jonathan to baseball practice, or any social activities, Joyce thrived in the role as a mom and was immeasurably proud of her children.

Joyce worked for Friedman’s Supermarket in Butler and Saxonburg for over 25 years. Joyce was passionate about animals, especially dachshunds, and took great pride in keeping a spotless house and a clean car. An expert card player and pie baker, Joyce also enjoyed reading fiction novels and watching a good detective show. Joyce always had time for her family. When she wasn’t filling her home with delicious baked goods, warmth and kindness, she could be found working in the garden or swinging on the deck with the dogs. We will miss her greatly.

Joyce is survived by her sister, Candace Curley; brother, David Renick (Marie); daughter, Sharon Gregory (David); son, Jonathan Sacco (Loretta); two grandchildren, Brittany Lynn and Ryan Sacco; several nieces and nephews; and her four-legged grandchildren, Stetson, Max, Aussie, Sydney, and Manly.

Joyce was predeceased by her father, Waldron Curley; stepfather, Dewitt Renick; mother, Jessie Curley; husband, Daniel Beichner; sister, Penelope Curley; brothers, William Renick and George Renick; and dogs, Missy, Princess, Heidi, Jasmine, Lucky, and Jordan.
