Swartzlander gets 99th career win
BUFFALO TWP — Brian Swartzlander started from the eighth spot, weaved his way through the field and wound up collecting his 99th career Modified feature win during Fab4 racing Friday night at Lernerville Speedway.
Swartzlander got around Jeremiah Shingledecker for the lead on the 19th lap. The win hands him an automatic starting spot in the Steel City Stampede.
A.J. Flick remained hot in the Sprint division, securing his fourth consecutive feature win at Lernerville. He started up front with Darin Gallagher and dominated the 25-lap event. Flick has won five Sprint features at the Sarver oval this season and now has a guaranteed starting spot in the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup race July 6.
Michael Norris started up front with Tommy Beck in the Late Model feature, the winner getting a starting spot in this weekend’s Firecracker 100. Florida resident Mark Whitener got around Norris on the 12th lap and snared the victory. Norris finished second, Alex Ferree third.
Chris Schneider won the Pro Stock feature, taking the lead on the final lap. He gets a starting spot in the Penn/Ohio Touring Series in August.
