Claudette L. Miller
Claudette L. Miller, 91, of Callery passed away Friday while under the care of Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
She was born Oct. 4, 1921, in Cornelia, Ga., and was the daughter of the late Claude and Bessie Mae (Carpenter) Eckel.
She was employed as a postmaster for 25 years.
Claudette was a loyal member of the Crestview Community Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school for more than 25 years. She enjoyed spending her free time quilting and sewing, but above all, she cherished the time spent with her family. Claudette was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Claudette Lee (Brueckman) Ripper Capella; her three granddaughters, Claudia Brueckman, Sandra Scheller and Marjory Brueckman; and one grandson, Ron Brueckman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale C. Miller, who passed away on May 7, 1997, and her two sisters, Ruth and Laura.
MILLER — A funeral ceremony will be at 6:30 p.m. today at the Crestview Community Presbyterian Church, 210 Kline Ave., Callery, with the Rev. Robert Goosen, officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Mars Cemetery.Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E.
