Jonathan S. A. 'Jay' Deitz
Jonathan S. A. “Jay” Deitz, 23, of East Brady passed away on Saturday in Monroe Township, Clarion County, as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born in Pittsburgh on Dec. 14, 1988, the son of Samuel J. and Tammy D. (Goodman) Deitz.
Jay was a 2007 graduate of Karns City High School where he played football as guard and tackle. He then attended Pittsburgh Technical Institute where he studied graphic design and computer-aided drafting and graduated in 2009.
Jay worked as a machinist for Miller Welding and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing. He was an avid football fan and his favorite team was the St. Louis Rams. He also liked watching NASCAR and cheering on his favorite driver, Rusty Wallace. His future plans were to marry the love of his life, Amber Kaefer.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents; his fiancée, Amber Kaefer; an identical twin, Mitchell Deitz and his fiancée, Samantha Rowles, of Brookville; a brother, Cory Deitz of East Brady; a sister, Samantha Deitz and her fiancé, Jonathan Beabout, of East Brady; paternal grandparents, John and Ida Deitz of Sugarcreek Township; several uncles, Jake, who was like a brother, Tim Jr., Hank, Bob, Gerald and Harley; several aunts, Lisa, Pat, Kim, Buffy, Marie, Melissa and Belinda; and numerous cousins.
Jay was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Junior Goodman and maternal grandmother, Barbara Goodman, who died in June 2012.
DEITZ — Family and friends of Jonathan S. A. “Jay” Deitz, who passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home, 758 Main St., Rimersburg.Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home with the Rev.
