Melvin Hoak
Melvin S. Hoak Jr., 75 of Cabot passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022, at his home.
Born Nov. 29, 1946, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of the late Melvin S. Hoak Sr. and Nora Mae Grunden Hoak.
Melvin was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He retired from Allegheny Ludlum. He was a member of Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, the Saxonburg American Legion 683 and the VFW in Ford City. Melvin enjoyed reading and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his loving wife, Donna (Cornetti) Hoak, whom he married June 8, 1968; his son, Melvin Todd Hoak of Lancaster; his daughters, Lisa Harvey (Shawn Lamotte) of Butler and Sonya (Allen) Hassler of Cabot; granddaughter, Amanda (Nick) Rossi; and grandson, Zachary Hassler.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne, Alan and Terry Hoak.
HOAK — Friends of Melvin S. Hoak Jr., who died Friday, June 17, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.
Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faith Way, Butler.
A funeral service will be follow at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Richard Jenks officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Saxonburg American Legion 683.
Private interment will follow in St. Luke Cemetery, Cabot.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faith Way, Butler PA 16001.
