Armco CU awards $20,000 in scholarships
Armco Credit Union has awarded $20,000 in scholarships to 20 local high school seniors.
The students were selected from 80 qualified applicants based on academic and extracurricular achievement. Students attending colleges as well as vocational schools were eligible.
Armco CU has awarded $77,000 in scholarships during the past five years.
The following students were awarded a $1,000 scholarship:
Allegheny-Clarion Valley: Baylee Blauser
Butler: Macenzie Birckbichler, Jared Chantz, Piper Geibel, Megan Penrod, Jada Pinto, Mya Slomers
Karns City: Abby Callihan, Brooke Griffith
Knoch: Jaydon Crawford, Grace Foehringer, Dathan Gillis
Greenville: Makenna Philson
Laurel: Jenna Fabian
Mars: Christopher Dvorak, Sophie Huff, Kaitlyn Pelaia
Portersville Christian: Mark Haller
Seneca Valley: Meredith Tillotson
Shenango High: Alex Pindel
Armco Credit Union is the second-largest credit union in the Pittsburgh area with over $500 million in assets, 33,000 members, 200 sponsor organizations and four branch locations in Butler County.
