PENN TWP — Hunter Truck Sales, the largest Peterbilt dealer in the Northeast, has hired Rick Dodson as its new vice president of used trucks.

He will oversee the Used Truck Division for Hunter Truck Sales and Hunter Keystone Peterbilt. Hunter operates both International and Peterbilt dealerships in 19 locations in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York, New Jersey and Ohio.

His office will be based in Butler at the corporate office.

Dodson previously worked at Daimler Trucks North American where he was a used truck district manager.

CRANBERRY TWP — The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton opened a new office Tuesday on Route 19 at the corner with Ogle View Road.It is the bank's fourth office in the township and 15th overall.The new 7,400-square-foot facility will house retail and commercial lending staff.William Marsh, chairman of the board, president and CEO of Farmers, said, “We are very excited to be part of the Cranberry Township community where we hope to make a positive impact by serving consumers and small businesses.”Managing the office is Renee Foust, assistant vice president, branch manager, who supervised the Meridian office for three years. Bruce Goodman is the vice president for commercial loans.The office had a grand opening celebration on Friday and Saturday.

MARS — The Mars National Bank had a charitable giving drive at its branches, which the bank then matched.This year, the bank will donate more than $3,000 combined to charities.This is an annual event that supports five charities near the bank's five branches.The fundraising drive was from April 28 to May 3 and supported these charities:Cranberry Township office: Hosanna IndustriesPenn Township office: Lighthouse FoundationHeritage Creek office: Lutheran Senior LifeMars office: Mars Library, andRichland Township office: Pine Richland Youth Center.

PITTSBURGH — Harry Klodowski, an environmental attorney from Middlesex Township, has been nominated to run for president of the Air & Waste Management Association board of directors.The election will be in June.Klodowski of the law firm of Hull and Klodowski in Wexford currently is a vice president on the board.Based in Pittsburgh, the association is a nonprofit professional organization that promotes environmental responsibility. It has 5,000 members in 32 countries.

GROVE CITY — The Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV on Wednesday honored Becky Plymale with the Annie Sullivan Award at its board meeting.Plymale has been a hearing impaired support teacher at MIU IV for more than 30 years.She is the 27th recipient of the award named for Helen Keller's teacher. It was established by MIU IV to recognize an educator who shows care and skill in helping students with special needs gain acceptance in their schools and communities.Throughout her career, Plymale has taught students with hearing impairments at all grade levels in schools in Butler, Lawrence and Mercer counties.This year, she is an itinerant teacher in an MIU IV classroom in the Seneca Valley School District.

CRAWFORD COUNTY — Butler native Tim Geibel, executive director of the Crawford Area Transportation Authority, last month received the Emerging Leader of the Year award from the Meadville-Western Crawford County Chamber of Commerce.Geibel, 36, has been the executive director since 2006.He graduated from Butler High School in 1996 and graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2000.He earned a master's degree in organizational leadership from Geneva College in 2003, and worked at the Butler Transit Authority from 2002 to 2003.He is the son of Larry and Monita Geibel of Butler Township.
