Bank golf tournament nets $5,000 for charity
The charity Connecting 2 Tomorrow will receive a donation of $5,000 on behalf of Farmer’s National Bank, winner of the inaugural Butler County Bankers Open Golf Tournament sponsored by Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau.
The event occurred Friday at the Lake Arthur Country Club. Other banks that participated were Dollar Bank, Mars National Bank, Northwest Savings Bank and S & T Bank.
Each bank brought two foursomes and donated to a purse totaling $5,000.
The winning team got to designate what community group would receive the purse.
Other charitable organizations that were in the running were: The United Way of Butler County on behalf of Dollar Bank; The Community Health Clinic of Butler County on behalf of Mars National Bank; The Center for Community Resources on behalf of Northwest Savings Bank, and VOICE — Butler County on behalf of S & T Bank
Winning Farmer’s team members were Josh Fye, Rob Foust, Matt Lucco and Sean Foust.
Connecting 2 Tomorrow of Butler County helps provide teens and young adults with the life skills that will enable them to be successful community residents.
