Richard L. Ritenour
Richard L. Ritenour, 65, of Grove City died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday surrounded by his loving family at the Trinity Living Center.
A son of Ray and Florence Patterson Ritenour, he was born Jan. 23, 1950, in Grove City. He was a 1968 graduate of Moniteau High School.
He began his career by driving truck for Agway and had spent 38 years as a heavy equipment operator for Allegheny Mineral at the Harrisville plant before retiring in 2007.
An outdoorsman, Dick enjoyed watching elk at Benezette, camping at Tionesta, hunting, fishing and traveling.
On Aug. 16, 1968, he married the former Ellen Bowser, who survives along with three daughters, Melissa Minick and her husband, Robert, of Grove City, Michele Schreckengost and her husband, William, of Slippery Rock and Marcia LaVan and her husband, James, of Harrisville; four grandchildren, Keith Schreckengost and his fiance, Brittany McCandless, Erica Schreckengost and her boyfriend, Austin Alexander, Alex LaVan and Matthew LaVan.
Also surviving are four brothers and sisters, Jane Blair and her husband, Clair, of Clintonville, Stacy Greenway and her husband, Douglas, of Harrisville, Dennis Ritenour and his wife, Lavonne, of Manheim, Pa., and Betty Holmes and her husband, Thomas, of Slippery Rock.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
RITENOUR — There will be no public visitation for Richard L. Ritenour, who died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015.Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Church of the Nazarene, 520 N. Center St., Grove City, with the Rev. Mark S.
