Mary Ellen Ross Goldinger

Mary Ellen Ross Goldinger, 78, of Chicora, died at UPMC Mercy Hospital on Friday after a short illness.

Born on April 30, 1938, in Detroit, Mich., she was the daughter of William Glenn and Helen Ross of Butler.

She graduated from Butler High School in 1956.

As a lifelong homemaker, she enjoyed playing the piano, painting and reading. She also spent considerable time in the door-to-door ministry with a real desire to help people learn more about the Bible.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years, Daniel Goldinger; one daughter, Marcy Phipps and her husband, James, of Lancaster, S.C.; two sons, James Goldinger and his wife, Kathy, of Worthington, and Matthew Goldinger and his wife, Carrie, of Ligonier; one brother, James Ross and his wife, MaryAnn, of Tampa, Fla.; three granddaughters: Megan Klingensmith and her husband, Charles, Courtney Bellin and her husband, Matt, and Brittany Goldinger; and one great-grandson, Grady Klingensmith.

GOLDINGER — Friends of Mary Ellen Ross Goldinger, who passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora.A memorial talk will be given at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home by Chris Bowser from the Chicora congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.For additional information or to send a condolence, please visit www.hilefh.com.
